Job summary

The Capital Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of capital projects across APS sites, focusing on safety, reliability, capacity, and automation, including material handling and warehousing systems.

Based near APS sites in the United States or Mexico, this role requires about 25% travel and collaboration with site teams, suppliers, and contractors to deliver cost-effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or capital project execution.
• Experience managing multiple capital projects simultaneously in an active manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing material handling, warehousing, packaging, logistics, or other manufacturing automation projects.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of capital projects across APS manufacturing sites, leading projects from concept development and funding approval through execution, startup, and closeout.
• Develop and manage project scopes, estimates, schedules, budgets, risks, and execution plans.
• Deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with site teams to develop and implement automation solutions that support operational and business needs.
• Coordinate operations, IT/OT, engineering partners, suppliers, contractors, and system integrators through design, commissioning, startup, and transition to site ownership.
• Lead project reviews, startup readiness activities, and stakeholder communications throughout project execution.
