Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a Special Projects Assistant I to support the Capital Programs office on diverse projects. You will organize, research, and prepare reports, coordinating with internal offices and external partners to advance initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of admin experience with data handling and Excel. This is a full-time role within a 12-month cycle, based in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, or Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • One year of full-time, paid administrative or administrative support work with data analysis and extensive Excel use.
  • Experience interfacing with multiple departments and agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and facilitates a variety of special projects and/or programs; compiles data and statistics; prepares reports and presents results.
  • Conducts research to respond to inquiries or resolve problems; gathers and analyzes information and data; communicates findings.
  • Acts as liaison between the District offices and local/state entities; collaborates with external agencies on joint ventures.
