Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• Five years of full-time professional architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in design and construction phases of commercial or institutional projects.
• Two or more years of on-site supervision, administration of construction contracts, and cost control operations.
• Eight years of full-time construction management or inspection experience with supervision of contractors and cost control in school facilities (alternative path).

Responsibilities

• Administers a comprehensive program of construction management, including budget development and cost control.
• Participates in and supervises the preparation, review, and processing of all construction contracts.
• Manages all phases of construction from pre-bid to final closeout, including safety and code compliance.
• Reviews plans and specifications to ensure contract compliance.
• Supervises inspectors or contract managers in project management and coordination tasks.
• Coordinates projects with design staff and maintenance facilities teams; prepares status reports.
