Job summary

Luster is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant for Capital Programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will manage contractor invoices, progress payments, and grant reimbursements for major transit and infrastructure projects, supporting CFO and finance staff across the AP cycle.

This long-term, full-time hybrid role requires detail-oriented accounting, strong knowledge of ERP systems, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure audit-ready records and timely close.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• Masters and professional certifications are preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and public sector accounting terms.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor invoices and progress payments against contracts.
• Prepare journal entries and assist month-end and year-end close.
• Process 1099 adjustments and sales/use tax returns.
• Maintain audit-ready capital-funded payment files.
• Reconcile bank statements and daily cash reports.
