Job summary

Luster National is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant, Capital Programs to support major transit and infrastructure programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will manage AP for a capital program, ensuring timely contractor payments and compliant grant reimbursements while supporting month-end close.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and collaboration with CFO and finance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent combination.
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience with AP processing.
• Experience with complex vendor invoices and journal entries.
• Knowledge of governmental and fund accounting principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor and consultant invoices against contracts and schedules.
• Process payments, change orders, and monitor prompt payment deadlines.
• Ensure expenditures are coded and documented per grant requirements.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts for monthly close.
• Maintain audit-ready records and support grant reporting.
• Assist with tax reporting and filing as required.
