King County seeks a Capital Project Manager II to support major CIP efforts within the Solid Waste Division. You’ll guide projects through scope, schedule, budget, procurement, design and construction, coordinating with engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, sustainable infrastructure for the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of lead design/construction project management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects and deliverables on schedule.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor costs and schedules; manage deviations in scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and stakeholders; document requirements and decisions.
• Develop procurement plans and contract change documents; manage closeout.
• Create PM plans, baselines, change documentation, and performance reporting.
• Organize project work and resources; support senior PMs with scope and risk.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Present technical information to teams, landowners, and officials.
