Job summary

King County Water and Land Resources Division -WA seeks a Wastewater Construction Management IV - Project Representative to oversee a variety of contracts including DBB, work orders, GCCM, and design-build. The role manages scopes, schedules, budgets, quality, and risk across projects up to $100M+ and serves as Owner Representative.

The position requires a solid background in construction management, strong communication, and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a hybrid office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5 years in construction engineering/management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, providing constructive comments to PMs, engineers and consultants.
• Working knowledge of construction laws, ordinances, county policy, and contract terms and conditions.
• Knowledge of codes, standard plans and specifications, and quality control methods.
• Thorough knowledge of current construction methods, materials and equipment.
• Minimum 2 years experience in wastewater or heavy industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer overall implementation phase on WTD capital improvement program contracts as Owner Representative.
• Coordinate and lead matrixed CIP teams including O&M, engineering, permitting, environmental, and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with plans and specs; manage scopes, schedules, budgets, risk, and communication.
• Manage change orders and document control following KC WTD standards.
• Lead construction closeout activities and coordinate final project closeout.
