Job summary

Anne Arundel County Office of Personnel seeks an Engineer Administrator for the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Engineering. This full-time, non-represented role combines engineering management, administration, and supervision to advance the Division’s programs and capital projects.

The incumbent will oversee planning, development, and execution of CIP projects, supervise a large engineering staff, review construction plans, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards while

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Experience: Six or more years in various engineering areas, including four+ years in management/supervision.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and direct the capital programs and activities of the Bureau of Engineering General Engineering Division.
Supervise a large staff of professional, technical, and clerical employees and resolve public inquiries.
Participate in design reviews, cost estimates, and contract submittals; develop recommendations for changes.
Direct selection of consultants, design, public outreach, construction, and post-construction activities.
Conduct field inspections to ensure conformance with plans and safety standards.
