Center for Digital Governmtent seeks a senior engineer to plan, organize, and direct the capital programs of the Public Works Bureau of Engineering General Engineering Division. You will supervise a large staff and ensure projects meet schedules, budgets, and standards.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's in engineering, and 6+ years in engineering with 4+ years in management, with strong project oversight and public outreach experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Six+ years of engineering experience, including four+ years in management/supervision.
• Professional engineer registration is required.
• Valid non-commercial Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct capital programs and activities of the General Engineering Division.
• Supervise staff directly or through supervisors; resolve public and official inquiries.
• Review construction plans, site investigations, and cost estimates; prepare contract documents.
• Oversee consultant selection, design, outreach, construction, and post-construction activities.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure conformance with plans and standards.
• Prepare the division's operating budget and five-year CIP; update standards and related studies.
