Job summary

Queen Anne's County Government seeks a civil engineer to provide design and project management for public infrastructure and facilities in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. The position reports to the Division Director, Chief, or Project Manager and may support other county departments with engineering services, construction management, and material specifications.

Responsibilities include MS4 stormwater program support, grant pursuit, traffic impact studies, road and bridge design, building design

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to utilize surveying equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations and procedures.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information to clients and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and drafting services for assigned projects using AutoCAD.
• Assist in review of construction and development plans (subdivisions/site plans).
• Support senior management on engineering projects and program delivery.
• Supervise Civil Engineering Technicians, Inspectors, and project staff as assigned.
• Perform other duties and project tasks as required.
