Job summary

Cooley LLP in Los Angeles is seeking a Resource Attorney to support the Capital Markets practice. The role will stay current on regulatory developments, help prepare client alerts and white papers, and build internal know‑how resources to boost efficiency in collaboration with Marketing, PD and IS.

The candidate should have at least five years representing issuers and investment banks, with a strong grasp of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with at least 5 years of experience representing issuers and investment banks in capital markets transactions.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keeping current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to Capital Markets.
• Developing topics for client alerts, white papers and external-facing materials.
• Developing internal resources to share know-how within the Capital Markets group.
• Maintaining archives of work product and know-how.
• Coordinating speaking engagements, webinars and materials.
