Cooley LLP is seeking a Capital Markets resource attorney in San Francisco. The role focuses on enhancing marketing and know-how sharing within the Capital Markets practice, assisting attorneys to be more informed and effective.

The position does not bill time to clients. The candidate should be a licensed attorney with at least 5 years of experience in capital markets, in-depth knowledge of corporate governance and SEC reporting, and the ability to coordinate with Marketing, PD, IS and Practice

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with at least 5 years of experience representing issuers and investment banks in capital markets.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience handling capital markets transactions and related regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Keeping current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Capital Markets practice group.
• Developing topics for client alerts, white papers and external-facing tools and resources.
• Developing and maintaining internal practice resources to enhance know-how sharing.
• Creating and updating archives of work product and know-how within the group.
• Coordinating speaking arrangements, webinars and materials.
• Updating forms and templates to reflect current legal developments.
