Cooley LLP, a leading global law firm, seeks a Resource Attorney in Palo Alto within the Capital Markets practice. This role enhances marketing, knowledge sharing, and efficiency for attorneys handling issuer and investment bank capital markets work.

The attorney will not bill client time and will support practice groups across capital markets matters. The position emphasizes staying current on regulatory developments, developing client materials, and coordinating with Marketing and Professional

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience representing issuers and investment banks in capital markets transactions.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keeping current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to Capital Markets.
• Developing client alerts, white papers and external-facing tools and resources.
• Maintaining internal practice resources to share know-how within Capital Markets.
• Creating and updating archives of work product and know-how.
• Coordinating with Marketing for branding and RFP responses.
• Assisting with training and professional development within the group.
• Evaluating technology to improve efficiency and service delivery within Capital Markets.
