Job summary

Cooley LLP in San Diego, CA seeks a licensed attorney to join our Capital Markets practice as a resource attorney. The role centers on knowledge sharing, client materials, and internal know‑how to support issuers and investment banks.

The candidate will monitor regulatory developments, prepare client alerts and white papers, coordinate seminars, and collaborate with Marketing and IT to drive efficiency and client service. 5+ years of capital markets experience required.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with minimum 5 years in capital markets transactions.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills.
• Confident and engaging presenter who can interact with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Keep current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to Capital Markets.
• Develop topics and assist in client alerts, white papers, and external tools.
• Maintain internal know-how and archives for the Capital Markets group.
• Coordinate speaking engagements, webinars, and materials.
• Assist with forms, templates, and reflecting current developments.
• Work with Marketing to formulate Capital Markets branding and presence.
• Provide information to Marketing for RFP responses and business development.
• Coordinate with Professional Development and Information Services for skills and tech adoption.
