Capital Budget Analyst (Junior) — Forecast & Submissions

Job summary

The City of New York Department of Design and Construction, Division of Finance and Procurement, seeks a Junior Capital Budget Analyst to support the agency’s capital budget. You will help develop budget submissions to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and respond to OMB questions regarding financial plan submissions.

Responsibilities include updating Capital forecasts in FMS, forecasting task orders and change orders, and tracking the commitment plan against fiscal year targets.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent with 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent education/experience as described above.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the agency's capital budget and develop budget submissions to OMB.
• Respond to OMB questions regarding financial plan submissions and CPs.
• Update Capital forecasts in the Financial Management System (FMS) and track project commitments.
• Enter new projects into DDC's project tracking system (PIMS, Benchmark, PDMS).
