Job summary

The City of Seattle invites applications for the Capital Improvement Project Manager in the Administrative Services Division, Central Library, Seattle. The role manages CIP projects from inception through closeout, coordinating with stakeholders to define programming, budgets and schedules.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction and at least seven years of facilities project management experience, plus strong communication and contract administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Building Construction or equivalent training.
• Minimum seven years of facilities project management experience.
• Experience in managing design and construction contracts with public/institutional stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA and regulatory compliance in Seattle.
• Experience developing RFPs for design/consulting services and FF&E procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project work plans and schedules with stakeholders.
• Oversee design, construction and vendor contracts to meet budget and schedule.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and project documentation; monitor progress and closeout.
