Job summary

Seattle City Light's Development Review Team seeks a Capital Projects Coordinator to oversee capital project development for public and private initiatives, coordinating with City departments, outside agencies, and community partners to ensure compliance with utility standards and City requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of three years project or construction management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Urban Planning or related field.
• Current Washington State driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee development plan reviews for capital projects, City-funded efforts, franchise city work, and private development.
• Facilitate internal and external review processes, ensuring alignment with utility requirements and permitting standards.
• Maintain and manage project records, reports, development review files, and other official documentation.
• Support preliminary assessment activities, including early-stage plan review and customer meetings to clarify construction and utility requirements.
• Guide capital improvement projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
• Coordinate design reviews, environmental reviews, permit and right-of-way acquisition, and contract negotiation and administration.
• Apply engineering, architectural, construction, and project management knowledge to schedule work and ensure successful project delivery.
