Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Mankato, MN to plan, manage and support capital expenditure projects on site. You will collaborate with operations, facilities and vendor teams to ensure projects meet safety, cost and schedule targets while delivering robust manufacturing solutions.

You will apply project management, CAD/CAM and SAP knowledge to design, source and cost-justify equipment and processes, and you will help improve procedures and maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering and 3 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or capital project management; or 7 years of manufacturing engineering or capital project management experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Experience with SAP, CAD, MS Project and OSHA certification/training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally to develop work-scope specifications for capital projects and infrastructure changes.
• Collaborate with Rolls Royce teams to ensure projects meet internal and external requirements.
• Research suppliers and prepare documentation for requisitions.
• Manage projects ensuring safety, cost and on-time completion.
• Prepare layouts of buildings, assembly areas, and equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing operations and maintenance staff.
• Cost-justify tools and equipment for proposed manufacturing methods.
