Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Capacity Manager to establish ITIL-aligned capacity management processes ensuring resources meet current and future federal IT demand within a highly regulated environment. You will monitor performance across compute, storage, networks and applications, build forecasts, and deliver dashboards.

The role partners with architecture, operations and service owners to identify risks, recommend scaling options, and align plans with SLAs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT related field.
• 3–5 years in IT infrastructure or service management with capacity planning focus.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical capacity management experience.
• Ability to collaborate with architecture, operations and business teams.
• Current secret security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain an ITIL-based capacity management framework across views.
• Collect and analyze utilization metrics from servers, storage, networks to detect bottlenecks.
• Build capacity forecasts and what-if models to recommend scaling or upgrades.
• Produce regular capacity/performance reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and operations on capacity-aware designs.
• Lead capacity optimization initiatives like rightsizing and virtualization.
• Integrate capacity management with incident, problem, and change processes.
