Job summary

UT Health Science Center San Antonio is seeking an Academic IT & Technology Specialist to provide on-site support for IT processes, education technology, and Canvas LMS integration. The role supports faculty and staff in daily operations, including network, AV, and database tasks, with emphasis on improving workflows and user experience.

Responsibilities include configuring LMS features, developing reports, and training users in Canvas for course delivery and assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or related field required.
• Three years of related IT experience required.
• Experience with Canvas LMS and LMS integrations preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• LAN management, website design/development, and hardware/software installation.
• Develops database applications and queries/reports from institutional databases.
• Creates workflows and improves business processes through technology.
• Provides customer support and coordinates testing of new technologies.
• AV/tech support for seminars and training for users.
