We’re supporting a large higher-education institution with a highly customized Canvas LMS environment and are looking for experienced Canvas administrators to help with a major platform initiative.
🛑 This is technical Canvas admin work, not instructional design or course development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide hands‑on Canvas LMS administration, including course setup, configuration, and readiness validation
- Support and manage Canvas integrations, including LTI tools, SIS and SSO‑related workflows, and third‑party applications
- Assist with a large‑scale cleanup and removal of a legacy Canvas integration across a high volume of courses
- Validate integrations and settings to ensure courses are technically sound before going live
- Troubleshoot complex Canvas issues and collaborate closely with internal IT and learning technology teams
- Document changes, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability
What We’re Looking For
- Strong, real‑world Canvas admin experience (Canvas‑only backgrounds preferred; Blackboard‑only experience is not a fit)
- Hands‑on experience with LTI integrations and third‑party tool management inside Canvas
- Comfort working across hundreds or thousands of courses in a production LMS environment
- Ability to work independently, manage repetitive technical tasks, and maintain quality at scale
- Experience in higher education LMS environments strongly preferred
- Contract expected to run 6+ months, with potential to extend
- Open to full‑time or strong part‑time consultants
- Fully remote; some structured collaboration early on, with flexibility for async work after onboarding
If you’re a Canvas admin who enjoys deep technical work, integrations, and large‑scale cleanup projects, this is a great opportunity to jump into a meaningful initiative with real impact.
