Job summary

Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor in Tallahassee to assist customers and patients in a retail setting. You will educate on cannabis products, assist with purchases, and maintain compliance with local and state regulations.

The role requires 21+ years of age, prior retail experience, and the ability to learn and apply cannabis product knowledge. You will support store operations and ensure accurate order processing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and compliant with local/state regulations.
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging may be required.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local cannabis laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and education.
• Guide customers on cannabis products and usage as wellness products (no medical advice).
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work well in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Provide product information on types, methods, and efficacy of cannabis products.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and storefront.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pickup.
• Understand and apply state/local compliance regulations.
