Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. is seeking a Cannabis Advisor for its Florida retail locations. The role focuses on exceptional customer service, educational consulting, and accurate inventory/recordkeeping using METRC or BioTrack systems.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, educating on cannabis products, ensuring compliance with state laws, and supporting store management. The position requires 21+ years of age and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive attitude.
• Advocate of cannabis customer care.
• Educate customers on cannabis use as a wellness product (not medical advice).
• Build rapport with regular customers for repeat business.
• Assist in fast-paced retail operations and team collaboration.
• Provide product information on types, methods and efficacy of cannabis products.
• Undergo ongoing cannabis education and training.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation/storefront.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
• Understand and apply compliance regulations per local/state laws.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays.
• Process POS transactions and update inventory in METRC/BioTrack.
