Job summary

Verano in Pensacola, FL seeks a Cannabis Advisor to greet customers, educate them on cannabis products, and support a fast-paced retail environment.

You will handle transactions at POS, maintain store cleanliness, learn edibles, concentrates, and regulatory requirements, and help build rapport with regular customers while following state laws.

A background in retail or hospitality and willingness to learn about cannabinoids are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care.
• Educate customers on cannabis products and wellness use (not medical advice).
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work well in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
• Understand and apply compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
• Stock and merchandise displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
• Complete transactions at the POS and update inventory systems accurately.
