Job summary

Green Thumb is hiring Personal Care Specialists for its Paterson, NJ dispensary. You’ll engage with patients in a friendly retail setting, educate them on products and safety, and recommend regimens tailored to individual needs while staying compliant with cannabis laws.

Prior cannabis experience isn’t required, but solid customer service and product knowledge help you succeed. The role requires flexible shifts (including mornings, days, nights, and weekends) and a strong commitment to accuracy,

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
• Prior cannabis experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing, intimate retail environment
• Play an active part in patients' and/or customers' education on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of patient interaction
• Utilize product and consumption-method knowledge to recommend a safe and effective regimen suited to each patient and/or customer’s needs.
• Promote a work environment that is positive, communicative, patient and/or customer-oriented
• Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy
• Provide necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations
• Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheld
• Ensure sales floor is properly stocked and presence of the store is well maintainedand compliant
• Maintenance of hard copy files as required
• Follow security measures and safety complianceprocedures
