Job summary

Parallel is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Brookline, MA to deliver exceptional service, drive sales, and maintain store standards. You will assist customers, manage transactions, and support inventory and displays in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a max of 29 hours weekly and a strong emphasis on accuracy, HIPAA-related processes, and regulatory compliance. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or over (Industry Requirement)
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Industry Requirement)
• Valid Government-Issued Photo ID (Industry Requirement)
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• 1 year of experience in retail or a related customer service role
• Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling transactions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues promptly

Responsibilities

• Drive Sales and Revenue: Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales; meet or exceed individual and team sales targets; stay informed about current promotions, sales, and programs.
• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers; provide detailed product information and recommendations; handle inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
• Store Operations: Operate POS and related systems; keep floor clean and stocked; assist with inventory management and visual merchandising; follow state cannabis retailer regulations.
• Compliance and Records: Maintain accurate sales records; ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance; monitor for loss prevention.
