Job summary

Green Thumb Industries is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee cannabis manufacturing operations on the plant floor, ensuring product quality and inventory integrity. The role is hands-on, requiring close collaboration with production staff to meet deadlines and standards.

You will lead a team, coach employees, manage workflows, and enforce safety and regulatory compliance. A strong background in continuous improvement and Kaizen practices is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a production environment; at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or GED required; BSc/BA preferred.
• Experience directing and evaluating subordinates.
• Adaptable to a demanding, startup, fast-paced environment.
• Professionalism and integrity; able to handle confidential information.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge in Continuous improvement, e.g. Kaizen, Gemba Walks.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees to perform in a proficient manner; motivate by example.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities.
• Establish and improve departmental policies, goals, and objectives.
• Communicate expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise results.
• Coach and develop employees; plan, assign, and direct work; address performance.
• Create and oversee employee training to boost productivity and conserve resources.
• Use data to monitor output and ensure specifications.
• Ensure safety and operating procedures are followed.
• Identify efficiency issues and propose improvements.
• Maintain inventory within the department and meet budgeting goals.
• Drive production efficiencies as directed by leadership.
• Lead the team to produce quality product meeting internal specs.
