Job summary

Fine Fettle, a cannabis retailer, seeks an Inventory Manager at our Old Saybrook, CT location to oversee all inventory activities, drive accuracy, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead Dispensary Agents and Retail Team Leads, fostering accountability and collaboration to optimize store efficiency.

The role demands strong attention to detail, ownership, and leadership, with responsibilities ranging from audits and product labeling to cash handling and staff coaching.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older per the Department of Consumer Protection requirements
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 1+ year cannabis industry experience preferred
• Knowledge about cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Strong multitasking and attention to detail
• Ability to pass state licensing requirements and background check
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Spanish language ability beneficial

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day retail operations and inventory management
• Conduct daily and weekly audits for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Complete inventory discrepancy investigations and report weekly inventory audit
• Monitor Cannabis Return Tracker and submit monthly credit requests
• Ensure product bins are stocked and labeled for wall organization
• Manage bin and vault overstock to align with sales demand
• Oversee on-site disposal process
• Manage product expiration dates to ensure timely sale
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized inventory areas
• Train staff on regulatory regulations and inventory processes
• Develop and implement efficiency improvements to procedures
• Provide administrative assistance as needed
• Handle cash procedures and cash drops
• Support General Manager with training and coaching
• Conduct sales floor audits for accurate product scanning
• Provide monthly OKR updates and keep menu current
• Ensure all sellable products are live on the menu and deliveries are checked
