Job summary

Ayr Wellness is seeking a Dispensary Technician to deliver an outstanding patient experience in our Dayton retail location. You will use POS and inventory systems, handle cash, and provide knowledgeable product guidance while maintaining compliance and a welcoming environment.

The role requires 1–3 years in retail or customer service (cannabis experience a plus), strong communication, dependability, and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic math, computer, and cash handling skills.
• Ability to coordinate and problem solve professionally.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to pass all background checks.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and team members.
• Experience with cash handling and POS/inventory control systems.
• Prior experience working in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Explain potential benefits of the Premium Cannabis products offered to patients.
• Ensure patient questions or concerns are resolved quickly and completely; communicate requests to management.
• Oversee patient intake process and maintain confidential records.
• Accurately receiving, coordinating, and fulfilling patient orders using POS and inventory systems in compliance.
• Adapt to varied sales volume and maintain a clean, stocked dispensary with a patient-first approach.
• Follow compliance practices and prevent diversion of medical cannabis.
• Assist in daily inventory counts and floor stock management.
• Foster a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Act as the crucial link between AYR Wellness and patients for a stress-free experience.
• Maintain the store appearance, including restrooms, to be guest-ready.
