Job summary

DLH Corporation is hiring a CANES SME (Engineering Technician IV) to work onsite at Naval Station Norfolk. You will transform fleet requirements into training products and align curriculum with the latest CANES baseline.

Strong shipboard network experience and detailed-oriented training development are essential. You will develop CANES/C4I courseware, lesson plans, student guides, and labs, applying the Instructional System Design methodology and Navy authoring tools to deliver effective

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience supporting Navy systems such as TACNET, CANES, ISNS/COMPOSE or similar C4I systems.
• Five years of professional engineering technician or electronics experience with an Associate degree or formal training; seven years with a HS diploma.
• Must meet DoD 8570/8140 cybersecurity requirements within nine months of hire.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and documenting engineering systems and training content.

Responsibilities

• Review updates to ensure curriculum aligns with CANES fleet baseline.
• Develop, update, and maintain CANES and C4I courseware, lesson plans, guides, and labs.
• Apply Instructional System Design processes to define requirements and objectives.
• Use Navy authoring tools like CPM/LOM and AIM to manage curriculum.
• Ensure training materials reflect real-world system administration practices.
• Support pilot courses and fleet training events.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and apply feedback for accuracy.
