Job summary

DLH Corporation seeks a Technical Instructor / Course Developer to support CANES and C4I modernization. You will review updates, build training products, and align curriculum with fleet baselines to improve readiness. Classroom delivery and hands-on labs will be required, using Navy authoring tools and ISD processes.

Strong shipboard network expertise is essential, with hands-on CANES or TACNET experience. Active Secret Clearance and preferred Master Training Specialist designation are highly

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; formal training certification.
• Navy Basic Instructor Training (NEC 805A or 9502) or current trainer certification (e.g., Microsoft CFL, CompTIA CTD).
• Cybersecurity qualification per DoD 8570/8140 within 9 months of assignment.
• 8+ years in a technical trade such as electronics, shipboard networks, or related C4I systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks, CANES or TACNET.
• Experience in at least three areas: Network Admin, System Admin, Technical Documentation, Training.
• Preferred: Navy Master Training Specialist designation.
• Preferred: prior pilot courses or fleet refresher training.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Review updates to ensure curriculum aligns with CANES baseline.
• Develop, update, and maintain CANES and C4I courseware and lesson plans.
• Apply Instructional System Design to define requirements and objectives.
• Use CPM/LOM and AIM to develop and manage curriculum.
• Ensure materials reflect real-world system administration practices.
• Deliver instructor‑led classroom and hands‑on instruction for pilots and fleet events.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate feedback.
• Collaborate with engineering and program teams to stay aligned with configurations.
