Job summary

DLH Corporation is seeking a CANES SME (Engineering Technician IV) to join the team onsite at Naval Station Norfolk. This role will translate complex CANES configurations and fleet requirements into practical training products, updating courseware and lab exercises for Navy personnel.

You will work with IT and training teams to ensure materials align with the latest CANES baseline, ISNS/COMPOSE, and TACNET standards while maintaining high instructional quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting TACNET, CANES, ISNS/COMPOSE or similar Navy C4I systems.
• Five (5) years of professional engineering technician or electronics experience with an Associate degree or formal training; or seven (7) years with a HS diploma/GED.
• DoD 8570/8140 Cybersecurity workforce qualification within nine months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Review system updates and configuration changes to ensure curriculum aligns with CANES fleet baseline.
• Develop, update, and maintain CANES and C4I courseware, lesson plans, student guides, and labs.
• Apply Instructional System Design to define requirements and learning objectives.
• Use Navy authoring tools (CPM/LOM, AIM) to develop and manage curriculum.
• Ensure training materials reflect real-world system administration practices and fleet standards.
• Support pilot courses and fleet training events.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate feedback to maintain accuracy.
