Job summary

DLH Corporation seeks a CANES SME (Engineering Technician IV) to transform CANES fleet requirements into practical training at Naval Station Norfolk. You will develop CANES courseware, ensure alignment with the CANES baseline, and leverage Navy tools to craft labs and materials.

Successful candidates will bring shipboard network expertise, DoD cybersecurity familiarity, and a track record in structured curriculum development for C4I systems.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience supporting TACNET, CANES, ISNS/COMPOSE or similar C4I systems.
• Educational/technical paths meet one of the listed options.
• DoD 8570/8140 cybersecurity training within nine months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review system updates and configuration changes to align curriculum with the latest CANES baseline.
• Develop, update, and maintain CANES and C4I courseware, lesson plans, student guides, and labs.
• Apply Instructional System Design to define requirements and learning objectives.
• Utilize Navy authoring tools (CPM/LOM, AIM) to develop curriculum.
• Ensure training materials reflect real-world system administration practices and fleet standards.
• Support pilot courses and fleet training events.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate feedback to maintain accuracy.
