Job summary

Radford University is seeking an entry-level Computer Support Specialist to provide front-line technology support across the campus libraries, TAC, and computer labs. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, and network access, while maintaining labs and assisting with upgrades.

Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting, excellent communication, and front-line help-desk experience, with familiarity in Windows/macOS and common productivity software.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic network issues.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• Demonstrated experience in a front-line customer support or help desk environment.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems, common productivity software, and printing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Experience installing and supporting Windows and Mac computers in a lab environment.
