Job summary

Radford University seeks an Engineering GIS Technician to organize, maintain, and archive GIS, space, and campus infrastructure data across electronic and physical formats. The role includes producing support documentation and aligning with project priorities under the Real Property and Space Manager.

The ideal candidate will have ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD experience, familiarity with building and site systems, and strong communication with stakeholders. Working hours are 40 per week on campus.

Qualifications

• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD.
• Ability to organize and maintain building, site, and utility files.
• Familiar with geospatial and architectural/engineering standards for materials, legends, details, and formats.
• Knowledge of site systems (water, sanitary, stormwater, electrical) and building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite for digital documents.

Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and archive Facilities Management GIS, space, and campus infrastructure information.
• Provide technical support to Facilities Management staff.
• Regularly report status of archived information and support tasks; conduct biennial audits of space.
• Meet in the field with representatives and coordinate with stakeholders.
