Bay College on the Iron Mountain Campus is seeking a Federal Work-Study Computer Lab Assistant for 2026-2027. The role assists the Help Desk, helps students and staff with technical issues, and performs password resets.

Candidates must be Bay College students in the work-study program, enrolled in at least one credit, and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress. Typical work hours are 10–15 per week, supervised by the Helpdesk Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Must be a Bay College student in the work-study program.
• Enrollment in at least one credit eligible for work-study.
• Satisfactory Academic Progress must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Answer Help Desk calls and assist students and staff with technical issues.
• Reset passwords
• Assist users with email setup on personal devices
• Assist users with accessing Bay College Wi-Fi
• Provide support for classroom technology including video conferencing
• Work within the ticket system to solve user problems
• Other duties as assigned by Helpdesk Coordinator
• Assist in installation and troubleshooting of PC software and hardware
• Assist in repair and setup of workstations
• Assist in cabling the network and troubleshooting
