BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE is seeking a Campus Store Team Member (Temporary) in North Carolina to deliver exceptional customer service, help students locate course materials, and process purchases at the register. The role supports inventory and daily store operations while maintaining a welcoming, organized store environment.

Temporary assignments offer varied weekly hours and can last up to 90 days based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and able to work in a retail environment.
• Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and teammates.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to changing store needs.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials, supplies, apparel, and other merchandise.
• Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately, including cash and card purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor with stocking and merchandising.
• Support inventory, receiving, and other store tasks to keep the store customer-ready.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities in a fast-paced environment.
