Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking Temporary Campus Store Team Members to deliver exceptional customer service in our campus stores. You will help customers locate materials, operate the POS system, and maintain an organized, welcoming sales floor.

This temporary role offers varied weekly hours for up to 90 days, with opportunities to gain valuable retail experience and participate in a discounts program. Flexible scheduling is available to fit business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Flexible schedule for temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, convenience items, and other merchandise that meet their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving, and order fulfillment tasks.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities.
