Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, supplies, apparel, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions (cash, credit, financial aid).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising and replenishment.
• Develop product knowledge about merchandise and store services to confidently assist customers.
• Collaborate with teammates to accomplish daily priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Contribute to a clean, safe store environment that reflects the Barnes & Noble College brand.
