Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor to energize our campus store and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will lead daily operations, coach the team, and collaborate with store leadership to execute priorities.

The role requires 2+ years in retail, strong communication, and the ability to work varied schedules year-round, including evenings and weekends. This is a frontline leadership position with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2+ years of retail experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and support daily store operations.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and provide direction to team members in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work varying schedules year-round, including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering exceptional customer service while coaching and supporting team members.
• Support daily store operations, assist with opening/closing and act as Manager-on-Duty when assigned.
• Assign work, monitor progress, coach team members, and ensure daily priorities are met.
• Maintain knowledge of all store departments to assist customers and meet business needs.
• Resolve customer questions professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members and ensure policy compliance.
• Support merchandising, inventory, replenishment, POS transactions, and other operational activities.
