Job summary

BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE seeks a resourceful, driven part-time Supervisor to support management and lead a team on the sales floor. You will coach staff, ensure outstanding customer service, and help maintain store operations across a department or satellite location.

You will join a customer-focused environment that serves students and the academic community, with shifts that may vary weekly year-round. Prior retail experience is preferred and 18+ age required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs.
• Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time on the selling floor coaching and modeling Wow customer service.
• Train and oversee daily work activity of team members in one or more departments.
• Ensure store area is maintained, merchandised, and operationally sound.
• Assist in store operations and act as Manager-on-Duty in absence of management.
