Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience with leadership or supervisory roles, or completion of the Barnes & Noble College Aspiring Leader Program.
• Experience with retail operations including merchandising, inventory management, and sales performance.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily department operations and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Drive sales by executing business strategies and managing inventory.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop department team members.
• Partner with store leadership to support overall store operations and initiatives.
• Build relationships with customers and campus partners while resolving issues.
• Oversee merchandising, visual presentation, and workload execution for an optimal department.
• Analyze performance and trends to forecast needs and improve results.
• Support safety, loss prevention, and adherence to policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized department with flexible scheduling.
