Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Department Manager to lead an assigned department in a campus store. You will drive sales, oversee merchandising, handle inventory, and coach a store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As a key member of the store leadership team, you will partner with campus stakeholders and corporate teams to execute initiatives, ensure safety, and maintain a high standard of service. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience with leadership, supervisory, or buying experience preferred.
• Proven ability to recruit, coach, develop, and motivate team members.
• Experience with retail operations including merchandising, inventory management, and sales performance.
• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and multi-priority management in a fast-paced environment.
