Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for an Educational Building in New York, NY. This full-time role involves unarmed patrol visibility, engaging with students and staff, and maintaining a welcoming campus environment while ensuring safety and compliance.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, respond to emergencies, and document activities through clear incident reports.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by following security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate information per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, campuses, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain activity logs, communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
