Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Risk Detection in New York, NY. You will monitor and protect clients across media and tech environments, providing strong customer service and a visible security presence.

In this role you will conduct patrols, manage access, respond to incidents, and communicate with client representatives and Allied Universal leadership to ensure safety and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a media and publishing location by following site-specific security procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and shift activity records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in a professional, problem-solving manner, following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Communicate professionally with client representatives, building personnel, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security concerns and updates.
