Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY to protect clients across diverse government environments. You will maintain a visible security presence, perform patrols, and provide courteous customer service to residents, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, resident, and staff activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.
