The position requires sound judgment, problem-solving, and the ability to work across shifts. A high school diploma is required, with security experience and MS Office proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; certifications in safety or security preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; ability to use general computer applications.
• Valid Driver's License and clean background check.
• CPR/First Aid, AED certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• OSHA BBP training required or to be completed after hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of campus buildings and grounds.
• Respond to and investigate safety and security related incidents.
• Monitor parking compliance and issue citations as necessary.
• Collaborate with campus staff or departments as needed.
• Attend mandatory department meetings and campus events with large security operations.
• Notify Director of Safety and Security or College administration of emergencies or threats.
