Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; criminal justice education welcomed.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of campus safety procedures and access control systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; report writing ability.
• Ability to interpret and enforce university regulations with diplomacy.
• Good judgment, discretion; work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn new safety technologies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls, unlock buildings, provide escorts, assist motorists, and handle emergencies.
• Patrol campus by vehicle, golf cart, or on foot to cover buildings and grounds.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns and hazards to staff.
• Provide security at university functions and athletic events as needed.
• Administer basic first aid, CPR, and AED; coordinate with medical responders.
• Assist students in crisis with campus staff and external resources.
• Respond to alarms and ensure appropriate action is taken.
• Maintain clear daily logs and incident reports.
• Promote safety responsibility and enforce policies with tact.
• Work 24/7 coverage with flexible shifts.
