Thomas College in Waterville, Maine, seeks a full-time Security Officer to ensure safety for students, staff, visitors, and property. You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, monitor parking, and coordinate with campus leadership during emergencies.

The role requires strong customer service, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently, including nights and weekends. A valid license and background check are required, with OSHA BBP training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with secondary education preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and general computer-based applications.
• Current CPR/First Aid, AED Certification (or completion within 30 days of hire).
• Valid Driver’s License and Clear Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of campus buildings and grounds.
• Respond to and investigate safety and security incidents.
• Monitor parking compliance and issue citations as necessary.
• Collaborate with campus staff and attend mandatory department meetings and events.
