Job summary

Thomas College in Waterville, ME is seeking a Security Officer to protect students, staff and visitors. The role requires calm, professional judgment and the ability to respond to emergencies while maintaining security operations campus-wide.

Responsibilities include patrols, incident investigations, parking enforcement, and collaboration with campus departments. Candidates should have security experience, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications; CPR/First Aid and BBP training are

Qualifications

Must have experience in a Safety, Security or closely related field.
High School Diploma with secondary education preferred.
Valid Driver’s License and a clear criminal background check.
Current CPR/First Aid, AED Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) training may be required.

Responsibilities

Conduct interior and exterior patrols of campus buildings and grounds.
Respond to and investigate safety and security incidents.
Monitor parking compliance and issue citations as necessary.
Assist other campus staff or departments as needed.
Attend mandatory department meetings and campus events requiring large security operations.
